Tips from the public lead to two arrests in Lowndes Co.

Anonymous tips from the public — help Lowndes Co. authorities identify and arrest two suspected truck stop thieves.

Lt. Anthony Green says 52 year old Alton Surles is charged with strong-armed robbery and theft. And 46 year old Jermaine Cole is charged with strong-armed robbery.

They’re accused of stealing thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise from Love’s Truck Stop in Hope Hull earlier this week.

Both suspects are currently being held in the Lowndes County Jail.
