18-year-old charged in Lee County stabbing

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – An 18-year-old has been arrested in a stabbing investigation in Lee County.

The sheriff’s office says Ryan Mychael George, Jr., of Smiths Station has been charged with assault in the second degree. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Investigators say just after 11:30PM last night, they got a report of a stabbing at a home on Lee County Road 598 in the Smiths Station area. They found a juvenile who had been stabbed in the arm. He was taken by ambulance to Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, for treatment.

They say George was an acquaintance of the victim. Deputies say they found George and his vehicle at a home in the 400 block of Lee County Road 290 in Smiths Station.
