Dry, high temperatures near 90° for now; Much cooler this weekend

Despite the high temperatures near 90° Monday, Monday night/Tuesday morning lows were in the mid to upper 50s in most locations, seasonable for this time of year. Temperatures peak near 90° again Tuesday afternoon, while the sky remains mainly sunny. Just like Monday, relatively low humidity results in heat index values very near actual air temperatures. The drier air also cools down effectively, so temperatures fall into the mid to upper 50s again Tuesday night.

Our weather pattern remains unchanged through Thursday. Afternoon temperatures peak near 90° Wednesday and Thursday. The sky may be near-cloudless again Wednesday, but at least a few fair weather clouds may fill the sky Thursday. Both days stay rain-free. Our weather pattern changes Friday, as a strong cold front arrives in Alabama. High temperatures may still approach 90° Friday, but this weekend looks much cooler.
