Two Systems Bringing Rain Our Way

High pressure will continue to be the dominant weather feature over the region and it’s providing us another round of nice weather conditions Friday.  It will be our last dry day of the week.  Moisture will be on the increase and lead to the chance for rain over the upcoming weekend.

In the meantime, we expect a partly cloudy with temps dropping into the mid 50s overnight.  Friday is setting up to be partly sunny and mild with temps managing the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.

As we head into the upcoming weekend, moisture will gradually be on the increase.  A southeasterly wind flow will transport moisture into the area and fuel showers Saturday.  There’s more available moisture to work with Sunday.  A plume of moisture will move west to east over the state. This system will probably be our better chance for rain activity areawide. Temps will continue mild with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s Saturday and mid 70s on Sunday.

Another rain maker will move towards the state around the middle of next week.  This system could bring additional beneficial rainfall to the area   The setup may even support a strong storm or two as it works across our area.
