Some showers Tuesday, rain/storms Wednesday, dry late this week

Monday was warm and rather sunny across central and south Alabama. Clouds increased especially across west Alabama late in the day, but our area was dry through Monday evening. Monday night remains dry with a partly to mostly cloudy sky and an east wind of 5-10 mph. Temperatures only fall into the low 60s at most through early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday looks mostly cloudy with scattered showers drifting across our area throughout the day. Rain looks hit or miss and relatively light rather than a heavy, soaking rain that could create problems going out to vote. Otherwise, the sky remains mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Some showers remains possible Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Wednesday also looks partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and some storms. Severe storms appear very unlikely at this time. Otherwise, temperatures remain warm with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Our area trends drier Thursday and Friday, while temperatures remain warm, in the mid to upper 70s. Another cold front arrives late Friday into Saturday. The front brings no rain, but cooler and drier air to our area this weekend.
