MONTGOMERY, AL. —- Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy was the featured guest at Alabama Christian Academy’s spring benefit dinner on Monday.
The event helps raise money for the school but McElroy offered up his opinion on the quarterback battle Nick saban has going on in Tuscaloosa.
“Well i definitely think it’s a five horse race,” said McElroy. “There are five guys who are highly talented and regarded coming out of high school. They’re guys who have talent. And Jake Coker has unbeliveable arm talent. Just whether or not he’s able to play fast enough to allow the guys to respond and give them the best chance to be succesful.”
Meanwhile with Nick Marshall gone in Auburn, Jeremy Johnson is expected to get the starting job on the plains come the fall. McElroy said Johnson’s experience and talent could be a huge benefit to the Tigers.
