Union Springs Police Searching for Driver in Hit-and-Run

Union Springs police are asking for your help in solving a hit and run.
78-year-old Wilbert Broaden was struck by a large truck in Union Springs, on the evening of January 30th.
Investigators say they are unsure what caused him to be lying on the side of the road, but a witness was trying to help him and stop the large truck.
Broaden survived the accident but two months later, passed away.
Witnesses were unable to give a detailed description of the truck because it was dark and police are knowing asking for the public’s help.
Lt. Edward Hardy, Union Springs Police Department said, “Number one the family needs closure and number two our jobs as police officers and investigators to find out the person, the driver, that was behind this incident.”
Witnesses say it was a dark, two-toned Charter bus, tour bus, or RV.
