BIRMINGHAM, AL — Former Auburn standout Cam Newton is back in Alabama.
For the second consecutive year, Newton’s foundation is holding its 7-on-7 tournament series at Parker High Cchool in Birmingham.
“The game of football is kind of like the carrot to entice so many people around,” Newton said. “Yea we are playing a 7-on-7 tournament. But at the end of the day, these kids get to see me, see people in my foundation ask questions, talk to them, and see that Cam was at Parker High School, and if he can do it, I can do it.”
The winning team recieves an all-expenses paid trip to the tournament finals in Charlotte on June 25th and 26th.
