Second Saturday Event at Riverfront Park in Montgomery
The city of Montgomery hosted its second Saturday event at Riverfront Park, with a battle of the bands.Â
Nine music artists from around the river region competed in the rock the park competition.
The winner got the chance to open the new years even downtown block party, as well as cash and other prizes.
Those listening to the music got to enjoy food from local vendors and there were plenty of activites for the kids.
The people we spoke to say events like this is a great way to get out, have fun, and help support local music artists.
All the proceeds from this month’s second saturday went to child protect.
