Montgomery, AL – High school football is right around the corner, and the Jeff Davis Volunteers are gearing up for the 2015 season.
The Volunteers enter their third season under head coach Lee Carter. Coach Carter went 2-8 in his first year, improved to 5-6 last year, making the playoffs for the first time since 2011.
Jeff Davis returns eight on offense and seven on defense. Coach carter knows his team is young, but is looking to build on last year. “This is year three under me and my coaching staff. Our guys are stronger, and faster, and we just need to protect the football, and make sure our offensive line can have the protections,” Carter said.
The Volunteers open the season against Leflore on August 21st at home.
