Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic Underway in Prattville

 

The Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic is in full swing in Prattville. 
 
There are 144 of the best female golfers in the world competing for a $1.3 million purse. The tournament draws national coverage, putting the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in the spotlight.
 
Thousands are expected to attend throughout the weekend doing great things for the local economy. 
 
John Riley, from Atlanta said, “it’s really cool. I really enjoyed it. To see the different girls that you don’t normally see on TV, on TV they just show the upper echelon and here you get to see everybody.”

 
The tournament will wrap up on Sunday.  Admission is 10 dollars. There’s free parking and shuttles to the lots. Children and military are free.
