Apparent stomach bug hits Autauga County students, teachers
AUTAUGA COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – This is the time of year that a lot of people start getting sick, as the seasons change. That’s expecially true for some students and teachers in Autauga County.
A stomach bug appears to have hit students and teachers at Pine Level Elementary School, according to Autauga County School Superintendent Lyman Woodfin.
He told Action 8 News that they haven’t confirmed an exact number, but there have been more absences than usual this week.
Woodfin says there’s been an extra level of cleaning going on after hours, after students have left for the day.
His advice for parents is that if your children are sick, please keep them home.
