3 Degree Guarantee: Gift of Life Foundation Gets $1,400 Check
We are happy to give away another 3 Degree Guarantee check to a local charity.
AirNow Home Services and Alabama News Network are giving a check to the Gift of Life Foundation.
We are presenting $1,400, which is what we raised in June for getting Montgomery’s high temperature correct in our weather forecasts, within three degrees.
The Gift of Life Foundation, which provides health and well-being services to at-risk mothers and babies, is ready to put the money to good use.
“If a baby needs a sleeping place, maybe we could take those funds and purchase a pack-and-play or a crib for them, diapers or wipes. If a family needs transportation, we can use some of that funding to support that as well. So this is a great opportunity for us,” Regina Traylor, the executive director of the Gift of Life Foundation, said.
“They provide critical support for some of the most important members of our community. We’re thankful to be involved with this,” Bill Talbot, AirNow Home Services operations manager, said.
AirNow Home Services and Alabama News Network each chip in $25 every day that our weather team gets Montgomery’s high temperature forecast right, within three degrees.
The money grows during the month, to produce a big check that we give to charities right here in our area.
