UPDATE: Woman dies after being shot in Montgomery

UPDATE: Montgomery police say a woman shot in Montgomery this morning has died of her injuries. They have announced an arrest in her murder.

A woman has been seriously hurt in a shooting in Montgomery.

Police say at about 6:25AM today, they and fire medics responded to the 4000 block of Amesbury Drive.  That’s where they found the woman, who was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police say there is no additional information available for release in connection to this continuing investigation.
