Montgomery man arrested in deadly shooting

Montgomery police have arrested a suspect in a deadly shooting earlier this month.

33-year-old Liderrio Davis, of Montgomery, has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the December 3rd shooting death of 38-year-old Brandon Steele, also of Montgomery.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Lake Street.

Once officers and fire medics arrived, they found Steele with a gunshot wound.  Steele was taken to the hospital where he later died on December 11.

Davis was taken into custody on December 21 by MPD Special Operations. He is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
