ACTION 8 UPDATE: FBI, state investigators seeking person about explosive left outside Alabama attorney general’s office

ACTION 8 UPDATE: A photo and video have been released Wednesday afternoon of a person investigators are seeking in the explosive device that was detonated outside the office of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

They say the person may have information about the case.

Federal and state investigators are asking for the public’s help in trying to find the person who placed an explosive device outside the office of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

As Action 8 News has reported, the device was placed outside the Marshall’s office at the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Bainbridge Street in downtown Montgomery. It exploded at about 3:42AM Saturday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

“Thankfully, no staff or personnel were injured by the explosion,” Marshall said in a statement Monday. No damage was reported.

ALEA did not release any additional information about the device or if there was any indication of a possible motive.
