Woman killed, man injured in Tallapoosa County crash
A wreck between a car and a pickup truck in Tallapoosa County has left a woman dead and a man injured.
Alabama State Troopers say 67-year-old Jeanette Griffin of Jackson’s Gap was killed when the car she was driving collided head-on with the pickup truck. The driver of the truck, 20-year-old James Duckett of Wetumpka, was taken to Russell Medical Center in Alexander City for treatment.
Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wreck happened at about 3:40PM yesterday on Alabama Highway 49, about a mile south of Jackson’s Gap.
