Cold Sunday night, less sunshine Monday, warming up this week
Sunday was mainly sunny across central and south Alabama. However, it was a cool early March day with below-average high temperatures. It was also breezy, with northwest winds sustained over 10 mph for much of the day. Max wind gusts were 20-30 mph in most locations. Sunday night looks cold, with lows in the mid to upper 30s. That’s close to 10° below average. The sky becomes partly cloudy overnight.
Clouds increase Monday, with a mostly cloudy sky during the day. It could be a cool day depending on cloud coverage. Although, afternoon temperatures may warm into the 60s in most locations. Temperatures gradually warm this week with mainly dry weather through Wednesday. Clouds increase Thursday with a low chance for a few showers. Rain looks likely Friday with some storms possible. Clouds and chances for rain may linger through next weekend.
