Safe from the Storm: Looking back at Hurricane Ivan

Hurricane Ivan hit Gulf Shores, Alabama, in September of 2004. It brought damage and power outages far inland, including in Montgomery.

People who lived in Central Alabama back then will remember that it took days, even weeks for life to return to normal. For those who weren’t here, it may be a surprise that a hurricane could affect so many lives far away from the coast.

Action 8’s Estee Morrison gives us a look back at the storm.
