Former Auburn Baseball Player is called up to the Texas Rangers

Former Auburn Baseball Player Daniel Robert received the call up to the Texas Rangers to make his Major League Debut. Robert is now the 61st player in Auburn Baseball history to be called up to the Big Leagues, the 10th since 2020, and the 3rd this season.
During his time at Auburn, Robert was a four-year letter winner from 2024-17 and primarily served as a position player. Robert owned a .283 career average and logged 185 hits that included 33 doubles, 11 homeruns, and 104 RBI’s over the 191 games that he played.
Over the course of three seasons (2015-17), Robert also made 14 appearances on the mound and recorded a 1-0 record with a 4.02 ERA and a save. During the 15.2 innings that he pitched, Robert struck out 15 batters.
Robert a native of Hoover, Alabama was selected by the Rangers in the 21st round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
For parts of the last three seasons Robert has pitched for the Rangers Triple-A Team, the Round Rock Express. During his time in Triple-A Robert has recorded 112.1 innings on the mound in 90 appearances. This season, Robert has recorded 40 strikeouts and only seven walks over the course of his 30.2 innings pitched, and has also logged a career high five saves.
