Alabama State’s Dozier & McMinn tabbed with Preseason All-American Honors

Alabama State Linebacker Rico Dozier and wide receiver Robert McMinn earn Preseason Third-Team All-American honors from Stats Perform.
Dozier comes to Alabama State as a transfer from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and is a native from  Abbeville, Alabama. Just a year ago Dozier earned All-SWAC and Phil Steele All-SWAC honors. Also in 2023 Dozier led the SWAC with 125 tackles and added 2.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss.
McMinn led the SWAC in kick return yards with 579 and was 14th in the FCS. McMinn also returned one punt and one kickoff for a touchdown which led the SWAC and was 4th in the FCS, and his 13.9 yards per return ranked 3rd in the SWAC and 7th in FCS.
