Selma man charged with kidnapping and assaulting a woman

A Selma man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman at a house in Selma.
Police arrested 46 year old Woody Lanard Jenkins earlier this week for Kidnapping first-degree — and first-degree Domestic Violence Assault.
Officers responded to a residence — and found a woman with various injuries.
The woman told police that Jenkins broke her phone — starved her — beat her with an extension cord — burned her with cigarettes –and locked her inside the house for three days.
Jenkins was arrested and taken into custody.
Police say more charges are possible.
