Active death investigation involving two scenes underway in Macon County

Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating two deaths in Macon County. One person was found dead in the Tuskegee city limits Saturday night, and then another person was found dead at an accident scene on Highway 29 North in Macon County on Sunday afternoon. Macon County Sheriff Andre Brunson says SBI is assisting, and there could be a connection between the two incidents.

Tuskegee Police Chief Patrick Mardis confirms an active death investigation involving two scenes is underway. Mardis says they are awaiting an analysis of forensic evidence and all findings will be presented to a grand jury. Mardis says as the case develops, they will be able to release further information.
