Pay It Forward: Daisy Bolden of Montgomery
Daisy Bolden just retire after spending 41 years working with seniors in the River Region.
She has blessed a lot of people in those years and considers them family.
“She is always at weddings and baby showers of the seniors and their families. I was so touched by that because she’s showing me how much love means. That’s really my reason for nominating her. She is a bundle of love and everybody loves her,” said her nominator Sundra Courtland.
Bolden spent 25 years with the Central Alabama Aging Consortium and 16 years with Montgomery Area Council On Aging. It’s been a life devoted to helping others.
“My giving heart came as a child growing up. I stayed with my grandfather most of the time. I always told my mom I want to give back. I want to be there to help people. I started off as a medic, hurt my back. Many years later, I started working with seniors and it has been over 41 years working with seniors,” said Bolden.
For all she does to Pay It Forward to the seniors in the River Region, today Stewart Vance is paying it forward to her.
When it comes to caring for others, it’s all a part of who she is.
“That’s my slogan- love is is what love does,” said Bolden.
