How many homicides has Montgomery recorded in first half of 2025?

July 1 marks the start of the second half of the year. So how many homicides has Montgomery recorded in the first six months of 2025?
Action 8 News checked with the Montgomery Police Department. So far, the city has 32 homicides for the year.
That compares to 38 homicides for the first half of last year.
Overall for 2024, Montgomery had 61 homicides. That was down from the 75 recorded in 2023. In both of those years, Montgomery police say they made arrests in about 69% of the cases.
