Hyundai donates school supplies & uniforms to Selma City Schools

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama donates more than $12,000 dollars — to help Selma City School students prepare for the upcoming school year.

HMMA and its team members purchased new uniforms — back packs — and school supplies for students to start the new school year.

Waka Scshyundai0801 VoThe company also made a $5000 dollar contribution to help students with their hair care needs.

Officials say the annual school supply and uniform drives — helps to make sure every student is ready to learn and dressed for success to kick off the school year.

“We hope that the generosity of our team members will lessen the burden on the parents with students in the Selma City School System,” said HMMA CAO Robert Burns.

:This partnership with Hyundai is more than just a donation, it’s a shared vision for the future of Selma where every child is seen, supported and set up for success,” said SCS Superintendent Dr. David Scott.

“Together, we’re building a bright future for our students and for Selma. So, one vision, one voice, one Selma. So, thank you so much.”

It’s the third year HMMA has provided support for children in the Selma City School district.
