Pedestrian Hit by Car in Elmore County
A single vehicle crash yesterday claimed the life of a pedestrian.
The collision happened at 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 231, just outside the city of Wetumpka on the River Bridge at the 115 mile marker.
37-year-old Lamkeo Phongsamout of Wetumpka was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of a 2008 BMW stayed at the scene and was not hurt.
Alabama State Troopers are still investigating.
