Alabama Rodeo Queens celebrate coronation
Miss Rodeo Alabama, Teen Miss Rodeo Alabama, and Junior Miss Rodeo Alabama all celebrated their coronation at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association Building in Downtown Montgomery. The celebrations consisted of a sweet tea social and a silent auction.
Jenessa Sullivan will represent the state of Alabama as Miss Rodeo Alabama, Lily Trolard as Teen Miss Rodeo Alabama, and Abree McClendon will serve as Miss Rodeo Alabama.
“All the hard work, the hours, and the dedication put behind the crown has kind of all led to this one year that I get to dedicate to promoting the sport of rodeo being the best Miss Rodeo Alabama I can be but, also educating others of where our food comes from. One in five people in the state of Alabama are associated with horses so being able to share my story to all of them it just means the world to me,” explains Sullivan.
In addition to the responsibilities that go along with the Miss Rodeo Alabama, Teen Miss Rodeo Alabama, and Junior Miss Rodeo Alabama the three title holders each have a unique message that they would like to share during their reign.
“Always dream big and never let anyone tell you that you can’t do anything. You can always do something, you are more powerful than you think you are,” says Trolard.
“I feel like an inspiration to younger kids. At rodeos they’re always on the fence and they’re like ‘hey I want to do that one day,’ and then they see the rodeo queens and then they’re like ‘oh wow,’ so I want to be like an inspiration to them,” says McClendon.
