Storms bring down trees, power lines across area

ACTION 8 WEATHER AUTHORITY: We are tracking reports of trees and power lines down across the area as storms with high wind gusts passed through this afternoon.

Here is a look at what has been reported:

MONTGOMERY COUNTY:

Report of 15-20 trees down near Huntingdon College with power lines down along Fairview Avenue. Also some trees down on vehicles along College Court near campus. Report just before 12:30PM.

Power lines reported down across Taylor Road near Interstate 85. Report at around 12:15PM.

Reports of two trees snapped near the intersection of Vaughn Road and Bell Road. Report at around 12:15PM.

Reports of a tree down near Vaughn Road and Eastern Boulevard. Report at around 12:15PM.

ELMORE COUNTY:

Report of power line down along Alabama Highway 14 near Firetower Road at around noon.
