Auburn police have arrested two teenagers on multiple charges, including theft.
Officials say while Auburn police were patrolling on January 22 in the 700 block of West Magnolia Avenue, they noticed suspicious activity consistent with recent auto burglary reports in the same area and others as well.
Once additional officers responded to the area, they made contact with 18-year-old Jaquavious La’Michael Devoise, of Opelika and an unidentified 16-year-old juvenile.
Police say multiple stolen items were recovered, and property that was initially confirmed to be stolen was associated with the juvenile.
The 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for charges associated with auto burglary on Jan. 22.
During the investigation that followed, detectives confirmed that property found in Devoise’s possession was stolen. Arrest warrants for Devoise were obtained, and he was located by police and arrested on Feb. 4.
