Showers Wednesday; Sunshine but slightly cooler Thursday, Friday

Wednesday morning was mainly cloudy, though rain coverage was very low through midday. A cold front was located in central Alabama during the early afternoon, and continues south through the rest of the day. Along the front, isolated to widely scattered showers bring brief downpours to some of our area. However, many locations may remain dry. Rain may only last for a short time for those that see it.

Otherwise, Wednesday remains mainly cloudy but warm with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Showers linger into Wednesday night, but the sky clears overnight with cooler air arriving behind the cold front. Temperatures fall into the 40s by Thursday morning. Thursday looks partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Thursday night looks mostly clear with lows in the low 40s. Friday looks partly to mostly sunny with highs near 70°.
