Cloverdale Playhouse to feature “American Son”

The Cloverdale Playhouse is getting ready to put on a production that deals with issues still happening today.

“American Son” tells the story of an estranged biracial couple who must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by local police following a traffic stop incident.

The play starts February 19 and runs through March 1.

Action 8’s Abby Payne spoke with the play’s director, Tiara Staples, and one of the actors, Taylor Finch, about the production. You can watch that interview above.
