Concerned Citizens Club of Troy Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Across the nation, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was honored for his legacy. In Troy, several gathered to pay their tributes.
The Concerned Citizens Club of Troy hosted the annual event at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. The ceremony was filled with singing, scriptures, and excerpts from King’s famous, “I Have a Dream Speech.”
C.L Sankey Jr. was the guest speaker. James D. Oliver, the pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church says its important that everyone, especially the youth keep King’s dream alive, by reflecting on the past.
“People of different areas of this community come out and like I said, just honor and support Dr. King’s dream, that the dream has to still go on as we still have to go through some struggles and some fights in this country today,” says Oliver.
