Officials believe the opening of the new connector will not only make life easier for drivers, but also for one city.
Businesses in Pike Road will soon get an economic boost. The town will welcome traffic coming from the opening of the new I-85 connector. It was a labor of love, supported by federal funding. That will ultimately spur economic growth. While small, Mayor Gordon Stone says Pike Road is ready to meet the demand.
