Macon County Sheriff’s Office conducting search at Lake Tuskegee
MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Macon County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a search on Lake Tuskegee, off Frank Bentley Dam Road.
The sheriff’s office says it can’t disclose exactly what it’s looking for, but it wants to reassure residents in the area that they are not in any danger.
The search began yesterday morning as a joint effort involving Tuskegee police and fire departments as well as the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
“We can’t tell you a whole lot right now because it’s early in the investigation, but I can tell you everybody is safe around the lake here with these beautiful homes, everybody’s safe. We are looking for something around here, and when we find it, we’ll let you know what it is,” Macon County Sheriff Andre Brunson told Action 8 News.
