Dry with a couple more cool nights, but temperatures near 90° soon

Thursday looks like a very pleasant mid-May day, with a mainly sunny sky, low humidity, a north breeze, and high temperatures in the low 80s. Thursday night could be quite cool, with low temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s and a mainly clear sky. Friday looks mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid 80s. Friday night lows fall into the 50s.

Our weekend weather looks rain-free but warmer with high temperatures in the upper 80s Saturday and Sunday. Winds turn back to the southeast, so humidity begins to gradually rise. Otherwise, Saturday and Sunday look partly cloudy. Next week begins dry and rather warm, with high temperatures near 90° Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, low chances for rain return to central and south Alabama.

Longer-range models show a front approaching Alabama but likely stalling to our northwest around the middle of next week. However, isolated showers or storms appear possible in central and south Alabama Wednesday through Friday. Meanwhile, temperatures may still approach 90° Wednesday. Although, high temperatures may be back in the mid 80s Thursday and Friday. Some showers or storms may remain possible next weekend.
