New Mural Hopes to Add to Revitalization Efforts in Union Springs

A new piece of artwork is catching the eye of residents and business owners in Bullock County. Its part of an effort to revitalize the city all will attracting new business.

“Its eye catching right? Its eye catching. You really pause and look “Wow what a beautiful mural,” says Dr. Maria Bernardo of E Pediatrics Family Care.
Bernardo now has a new piece of art that makes her business stand out-art that could attract even more businesses to the downtown district.
“We have some boutiques. We have law offices and we have hair salons. We have lots of things going on downtown but we still have some buildings that we would love to have a business open up in,” says Midge Putnam, Executive Director of the Tourism Council of Bullock County.
Tourism leaders hope the mural will spark new growth to the city-a city that has room to grow.
The artist behind the mural is Wes Hardin. Harden has painted over 50 murals.
