ACTION 8 UPDATE: Man charged with capital murder in Montgomery fatal shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have charged a suspect with capital murder in a man’s shooting death.

Police say 19-year-old William Wingard is charged with killing 62-year-old Alan Griffin.

As Action 8 News has reported, police say Griffin was shot on Monday, July 27, in the 500 block of Woodbrook Drive.

Wingard is charged with two counts of capital murder and other charges in the case.
