An amazing puppy rescue in Montgomery.
The puppy who had been living in a drainage pipe for several days was rescued on Valentine’s Day in Halcyon Summit.
Once the fire department got the pup out she was covered with fleas, had a cut on her neck, and her body temperature was low. A veterinarian was able to warm the puppy up and treat her fleas and neck wound.
The puppy, named Valentine, is resting at the Montgomery Humane Society. If Valentine has no owner she will be up for adoption.
Steven Tears, Executive Director Montgomery Humane Society said, “Usually the fire department obviously they have other things to be dealing with, but thankfully they gave up a little bit of their precious time to come out and help us save a life.”
For more information on adopting Valentine, or to donate, call the Humane Society at 409-0622.
