Dry, high temperatures near 90° for now; Much cooler this weekend

Despite the high temperatures near 90° Monday, Monday night/Tuesday morning lows were in the mid to upper 50s in most locations, seasonable for this time of year. Temperatures peak near 90° again Tuesday afternoon, while the sky remains mainly sunny. Just like Monday, relatively low humidity results in heat index values very near actual air temperatures. The drier air also cools down effectively, so temperatures fall into the mid to upper 50s again Tuesday night.

Our weather pattern remains unchanged through Thursday. Afternoon temperatures peak near 90° Wednesday and Thursday. The sky may be near-cloudless again Wednesday, but at least a few fair weather clouds may fill the sky Thursday. Both days stay rain-free. Our weather pattern changes Friday, as a strong cold front arrives in Alabama. However, the front brings no rain to our area Friday or this weekend.

The weather pattern shift due to the front comes in the form of much cooler temperatures. Friday night lows likely fall into the 50s. High temperatures range from the low to mid 70s despite sunshine Saturday. Saturday night lows also fall into the 50s, if not upper 40s. Sunday looks partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 70s. Our weather pattern remains cooler and mainly dry with highs near 80° and lows near 60° next Monday through Wednesday.
