Storm Shelters Opening Today in Local Areas

Storm shelters will opening throughout the area for anybody who wants to get to a safe location away from the severe weather. Here’s a list of the shelters that will be opening in the area:
- Prattville Doster Center Auditorium
- Town of Franklin (Macon county) – Shelter at 1660 Highway 49
- Dadeville Courthouse
- Alexander City Hall
- Tallassee Courthouse
- Daviston Baptist Church (Tallapoosa County)
- New Fire Department Basement (Tallapoosa County) – open if needed
- Franklin Fire Department (Macon County)
- GED Trailer located behind Tallassee City Hall – open now (no pets)
- Troy Recreation Center on Enzor Road
