Keith teams moving on to Birmingham
The Keith girls and boys basketball teams are moving on to the state semifinals for the first time since 1987.

The Lady Bears defeated Loachapoka 53-43 tonight in the 1A Central Regional Final. Keith started down 15-2 in the first quarter, but stormed back in the 4th to win the game. The Lady Bears win the Central Regional title for the 3rd time in four years. They will play Spring Garden in the state semifinal on Monday, February 29th at noon.
The Keith Bears boys team will join the ladies in Birmingham. They dominated Cornerstone 73-47 in the 1A Central Regional Final. John Pettway racked up over 34 points and 12 rebounds to lead his team to victory. Keith will play Sacred Heart Catholic Monday, Feburay 29th at 10:30 a.m. in the state semifinals.
