Runners Participate in 15th Annual Joy to Life 5K
There was a big crowd in downtown Montgomery for this year’s walk of life. The event is the biggest fundraiser for the Joy to Life Foundation. The organization provides breast cancer screenings across the state for those who can’t afford them. Joy to life has been around since 2001 and provided over 13,000 mammograms.
Runners say it’s vital to bring awareness to such an important issue.
“I’m in the healthcare industry and I see lots of women whose lives are saved through active teaching and guiding and I know personally people that are fighting the fight,” says Mia Gentle.
This was Joy to Life’s 15th year of  the walk.
