Pike County Schools Academies will soon be located under one roof.

School officials are investing $1.7 million into a project that will allow for their own facility. It will be located off of Highway 231 South in Troy. Right now academies are located at different schools, including Troy Unversity. Pike County Schools Superintendent Mark Bazzell says having the programs together may also attract more students. He expects between 100 to 150 students.

“We’ve been working on it for six months but we’ve been thinking about it a lot longer than six months. Sometimes the wheels of progress turn slowly,” says Bazzell.

Pike County Schools Academies is expected to be complete in Fall 2017.
