Students at Troy University say Dr. Walter Williams’ lecture comes at a very timely moment for the world they live in as far as economics is concerned.
“I’m here to sell our fellow Americans on the moral superiority of personal liberty and it’s main ingredient, limited government and that’s a pretty hard job to do.”
Student, Jorge Solis says Williams’ lecture re-enforces the same free market ideals he’s been taught at Troy University.
“Economic freedom and the tierney of sometimes government taking the freedom from us in the form of taxation or in the form of different government programs,” says Solis.
Williams has authored several books and more than 100 publications, along with a nationally syndicated column. So why spread his message in Troy?
“I think it’s very, very important to try to convince younger people that they ought to read the United States Constitution and try to honor the ideas and principles.”
Williams’ weekly syndicated column appears in nearly 140 newspapers across the country.
