Boys and Girls Club of Pike County Implements New Programs
For the past 2 years the Boys and Girls Club of Pike County has seen major changes.
The organization has been under new leadership in those two years with Wayne Buchanan. Buchanan and staff have implemented programs to help students with homework and athletics. They have also include a bible study for students. He says it was an effort that started from scratch and with summer just around the corner he is excited to see more children benefit.
“When the kids get here in the afternoon and in the summer when they are here all day we can see..visually see change happening,” says Wayne Buchananan, Director of Boys and Girls Club of Pike County.
The center’s 6 week summer camp starts June 6th. It’s available for students entering the first grade through high school students.
