Inaugural Meeting Set for “Every Student Succeeds Act” Implementation Committee

Governor Robert Bentley on Monday will kick off the inaugural meeting of the Every Student Succeeds Act Implementation Committee.

The 27-member committee was created in March 2016 by Governor Bentley with Executive Order 16.

The committee includes superintendents and members of county school boards, school principals, State Department of Education officials and education policy advocates from across Alabama.

At Monday’s meeting, Governor Bentley will discuss the Every Student Succeeds Act and how its implementation will help the students across Alabama.

Monday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Old Archives Room at the State Capitol.
