Pastors Rally in Support of Chief Justice Roy Moore

Several pastors are standing up for Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. Moore was suspended from office by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary for telling propabate judges to defy a U.S Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage.

Ministers say they want to show Chief Justice Roy Moore that he has support from across the state and also from several denominations. They say Moore is right from a judicial and moral standpoint when it comes to issues such as same sex marriage. They say they understand abiding by the laws of the land but when those laws effect God’s word a problem rises.

“When a court-any court comes up with a decision that is actually unlawful and unconstitutional and people spread it out and say it’s the law of the land because a group of un-elecected officials say that this is their ruling, it’s just an opinion,” says  Tom Ford of Grace Baptist Church.

Saturday, Kayla Moore-the wife of Chief Justice Roy Moore will speak to supporters as a state-wide rally in Montgomery.
