Welcoming Home 1103rd Battalion From Afghanistan

Hundreds gathered for an emotional welcome home, as sixty three members of the National Guard return from Afghanistan.
The National Guard’s 1103rd combat sustainment support battalion was welcomed home in Eufaula.
Brundidge-native Master Sergeant Duck Sneed is one of the soldiers part of the special homecoming.
Alabama News Network first introduced you to his family back in December. Family and friends were putting together care packages for his unit.
They were able to gather enough donations to send dozens of boxes for the unit’s nearly 10 months away from home.
Master Sergeant Sneed’s service doesn’t stop at protecting our country. He’s also a Brundidge volunteer firefighter.
The unit was deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Their mission included enabling base closure and military material redistribution.
