The Gallup organization has produced a study of state and local government workers to determine which state has the highest per-cent of workers who are “engaged” in their jobs.

Alabamians who work in HR departments know the difference between engaged, disengaged and actively disengaged workers.  The Gallup poll finds the Southeastern States–including Alabama–have a high per-cent of engaged government employees than  workers than other states.

The Gallup report ranks Alabama third for engaged state and local government workers…those who Gallup says have a profound connection to their company. disengaged employees are basically sleepwalking through their workday…and even worse, actively disengaged workers are actually undermining the work done by the engaged workers.
